ABOUT
Hello! My name is Alexandra Batina. I was born in the Soviet Union, living in Uzbekistan in Central Asia until I was 23 years old. My native tongue is Russian, but I also speak French and English. Since 2005, I have been painting mainly oil on canvas; Since 2008, I have been making self-made short films (which may still be viewed on my Vimeo channel). I was self-taught then, and have participated in several festivals and workshops in Central Asia. I traveled to France in 2011 for specialized training in making animated films. I entered the 2nd year at Supinfocom Rubika, a Graduate Higher School focused on 3D Animation and Special Effects, which I finished in 2015. Following my Master’s in Computer Graphic Design, I moved to Paris to work in Post-production, specifically in Color Grading and Compositing. I enjoy understanding and guessing what Cinematographers and Directors want to express, and then executing it correctly, proposing various looks to emphasize the story-telling.
